Dear followers

I am back!! It is a long time I have been not writing in this blog. 

As usual... "time flies"... some of you asked me to be more present and to write more often... I will do my best to keep this promise.

Just to let you know, I am going to post all the pictures and details about the events/weddings planned in the past months. 

Let's start with the biggest which took us very busy since early september untill just few days ago. I am talking about the event which brought to London the best of Italy.

THE ITALIAN DESTINATION WEDDING SHOW

hosted by Will Be Wedding & Events  and Stylish Events. 

An event entirely dedicated to the couples who want to get married in Italy, 

dreaming an italian wedding and looking for a Wedding Planner in Italy who can make it real.

The event of course has been interational and many different newspapers and magazines, had written about that.

I love to share it with you... hopefully you can come next year and visit the second edition of this show!!

There are already several exhibitors who asked to be part of it again in the 2015 and we are starting to work on it. But I don't want to say too much...

The Shamgri-La The Shard, stunning building designed by Renzo Piano, 

famous symbol of London, which gives a breathtaking view of the city.

This day has been created for the venues, to give them the opportunity of meeting the main english wedding planners who are looking for new places where to bring the couples in the future.

What's happening at The Italian Destination Wedding Show

With less than a week to go till our amazing show, we thought it was time to give you a full run down about what’s going on at The Italian Destination Wedding Show this Sunday, 26th October 2014.

Our event is being held at the 5 star Sofitel in St James.  

Doors open at 11.00 am and close at 4.00 pm. 

You are welcome to arrive anytime after 11.00 am and stay for as long as you wish.It has been a joy to jointly organise this event with the lovely Dominique Douglas of Stylish Events.This is London‘s only wedding show dedicated to Italy as a wedding destination.

We hope you will join us to celebrate this wonderful country and all that is has to offer UK couples on their wedding day.
We are thrilled to let you know that everyone who attends on the day will be entered into a draw to win some amazing prizes. The draw will take place at 3.00 pm, so please ensure you arrive before then to be eligible.

First up, it’s the stunning venues. We have worked very hard to ensure we have venues from all over Italy, from the North, South, East, West, and even in the middle; there is a venue here to suit all tastes and wedding budgets.

But it’s not just the venues you will meet

• High end Italian jeweller Marcello Riccio of MR will be presenting his amazing bespoke creations and diamond rings.

• Top photographers Sergio De Riccardis, based in Italy, and lovely fine art photographer Kate Nielen, based in London will be there.

• Important Italian names in beauty Marcela Bantea of MBmakeup, make up artist for several fashion houses and Daniela Grava, creative and eclectic hair stylist at Il Pettine, both based in Veneto.  From London we have Angelique Franklin of I Love Nails UK, the renowned nail technician, who was recently working at London Fashion Week. Each will be giving personal consultations to brides at the event.

• You will also meet Joanna from Sentio Events and Wedding Stationery, the top company to go to for everything related to bespoke invitations design, menus etc and Paula Wratten of Amara Ceremonies, a specialist celebrant who delivers custom made, unique ceremonies designed the way you wish your ceremony to be.

• There will be something for the guys too as we will be joined by Stowers Bespoke, with their impeccably tailored suits and accessories.

• Italian shoe designer Loriblu will be brining showcasing their stunning wedding shoes, ahead of the London opening of their Bond Street store next week.

• The amazing team from Marryoke will be on hand to chat to you about videoing your wedding, a must for a destination wedding!

• Every wedding needs a cake and we have invited one of the very best cake and most sought after cakes designerss in the UK, the wonderful Elizabeth Solaru of Elizabeth’s Cake Emporium will be bringing her stunning cake designs to our event./

• It wouldn’t be an Italian event without wine, and we were so pleased when Cantina Coppola 1489 agreed to join us and bring along some stunning wines for you to taste. There will be a Sommelier on hand to talk you through all you need to know about Italian wine.

• We hope you will visit our Inspiration Room to be inspired to add that extra bit of creativity to your wedding day:

I had the time to relax a bit, to refresh my mind and now, I can't wait to keep in touch with you through my blog, to take you updated with my events. 

Today is the first day of September and... I consider this one the month of new starts.

This is why, I chose today as the perfect day to introduce you a special event:

two wedding planners: Will Be Wedding & Events -from Italy- and Stylish Events -from London- 

will be putting their expertise together to create: The Italian Destination Wedding Show.

The coolest color for your wedding

Hello everyone

Today we will talk about colours... the coolest for your special day!

Brides today are constantly searching for the ‘it colour’ of the year. However, with so many colour choices to choose from a bride can do no wrong. As I normally say, there is nothing right or wrong. It is about what you like or don't, and what is more appropriate or better matched.

Generally, adding colour to your wedding can really add that extra sparkle.

The season you get married in could also affect your colour choice as well as your venue.              

I have always favoured very light colours when a bride gets married. There is something about the light pastels that not only flatter the bride on her special day but also provide a sort of warmth on that special day. 

For example the picture above of the bridesmaids in yellow, really help the bride to stand out. Pulling that colour into your cake, flowers, and pictures makes a great composition for all of your photos as well.

Mint on gold is also very classy, and has been seen recently in vintage shabby chique weddings. 

Here you can see that from the initial invitation to the wedding itself, the bride and groom have pulled together their pallet choice in harmony.

I personally love these colours...as you can see from my logo and all the things I generally choose for my social networks and events. But what is important to me is to understand what the couple likes and wants and then give my suggestions. Again guys, there is nothing write or wrong... I like you to feel at ease and perfectly satisfied with your choices and your day!

This last image of teal with yellow also really makes the bride stand out. 

The picture above would make a perfect summer wedding!

When it comes to colour it’s always good to have a colour wheel handy so you can see which colours compliment each other. Don’t be afraid to try add different colours to your special day. You will be surprised at the difference a bit of colour makes.

Why get married in Italy?

More and more brides are opting for something different for their wedding. 

The traditional home setting has been changed to something we call a destination wedding. 

Of all the places in my mind I could think of to get married it would have to be ITALY. 

After having a recent chat with some brides to be, I simply wanted to know: why Italy? Italy was chosen not only for it’s amazing location but its links to romance: From Romeo & Juliet in Verona, to a romantic ride in a Venetian gondola. Each bride wants that spark of romance. 

Add to that, beautiful backdrops wherever you go, excellent wine regions, and more important good food! 

Italy is also among the top ten preferred destinations with fascinating and beautiful locations, famous cuisine, art and the professionalism of the operators and suppliers attract couples from all over the world. So the question to ask yourselves is: 

"When will you be planning your destination wedding in Italy?"
